Women on the Frontlines Global Director
For many years the number one thing I have heard from women as I travel and minister is that they feel isolated and alone in the things they believe they are called into by God. They are tired of atmospheres of jealousy and competition amongst women in ministry. They long for genuine mentorship and authentic friendship with women who have navigated the paths they want to walk on and who will stand with them to support them along the way.
While pastoring in the local church, I often mentored women in small relational settings and coached them to step out into their callings and places of influence. I also gathered groups of established leaders regularly to encourage each other and dream together. I saw firsthand the acceleration and confidence that comes with good mentorship in an environment where it is safe to take risks and where there is no jealousy or competition. Many areas of ministry require a unique skill set and it can be difficult and expensive to attain the skills to succeed. Women need more than information and preaching, they need face-to-face feedback, activation, and for other women to give them opportunities. Without this, they simply remain spectators to those who are shining brightly.
So, in January 2023, I decided along with my WOFL team, that we needed to meet this need by creating and launching the Women on the Frontlines Arise Leadership Community and Academy.
To provide a high-quality mentorship experience for women in all areas of leadership development.
To provide a place of friendship and support for leaders who often find themselves isolated and unsupported as they navigate the call of God on their lives.
To offer women opportunities to serve and be mobilized into their places of influence
To build a company of women who live lives of radical commitment, character, worship, and service in God’s Kingdom
To inspire women to make a difference in the lives of desperate women around the globe, through our project H.O.P.E. which brings aid to women in the areas of Health, Oppression, Poverty and Education.
Our WOFL Arise Leadership Academy includes weekly interactive mentoring calls on Zoom from September - June focused on leadership development topics, with small group discussions in breakout rooms with other female leaders. Illustrated are some of the topics we cover throughout the year.
Our WOFL Arise Leadership Community also has a private, online community called “circles” with many discussion groups as illistrated above where it is safe to ask questions of experienced mentors, take risks, and mentor others as you grow. Ideas are birthed, projects are planned and this is where we stay connected and encouraged on a daily basis.
The diagrams above illustrate both our leadership academy and our leadership community. In our leadership academy, we hold the same class multiple times each week so that you can fit them into your busy life. Attendance is optional and you can attend as often as you can make it, although many of our partners describe our mentorship classes as the highlight of their week.
Our training sessions are there to support you, build you, and encourage you. They are 1.5 hours long, and include 20 minutes of group discussion followed by 40 minutes of coaching and ending with 20 minutes of group discussion. Why do we use this format? We want you to find your voice, build relationships, process, and apply what we are teaching. Otherwise, it remains only information. Our women describe our training academy as transformational and the highlight of their week.
The other illustration you see above is our leadership community which is a private online community for our monthly partners only that hosts discussion circles on topics that many women long to be mentored in. These discussion circles are safe places to process questions and share opinions without the attacks that come in a public social media forum. Each discussion circle has a mentoring team assigned, but women cross-mentor in each circle and bring their experiences and wisdom to help others. Many of our women feel called to build other women and have found their place and voice in helping build the community.
This may come as a surprise to you, but our Arise Leadership Community and Academy program is not for sale. It is simply given as a partner benefit at no charge to any of our female partners who are giving one dollar per day or more ($30.00 per month) to our WOFL charity that supports women in desperate need around the globe. As you support them, we support you in your calling and journey in our Women on the Frontlines Community. We also offer our community and academy without partnership to full-time female leaders on the mission field in the third world.

Our mission statement for Women on the Frontlines is to empower, equip, mobilize, and connect women around the globe. To call them to live lives of radical commitment, character, and service in the Kingdom of God, because we understand that every woman wants to make a difference.
